Aerial Artist
As a journalist, Marena went behind-the-scenes at a Cirque-du-Soleil show and was blown away by the artistry and athleticism of the performers. She grew up as a dancer and competitive athlete, but never thought she'd explore the world of aerial arts herself (because journalists cover the circus, they don't run away with it).
Fast forward several years to 2012 when Marena discovered Aerial Revolution in San Diego, CA. That's where her own aerial journey began - first as a student, then as a performer, instructor, and choreographer. She has performed around the Southwest in theatrical productions, music festivals, nightclubs, conventions, weddings, and private events.
Marena co-produced the San Diego International Fringe Festival's award-winning 2014 show, Nocturnicon. She is also a member of the Circus Collective of San Diego, and has performed with Shapeshifter Circus and Way 2 Much Entertainment in Los Angeles, CA, Aerial Revolution Entertainment and Cirque SD in San Diego, CA, and Champagne Creative in Las Vegas, NV.

Coach
Marena loves coaching and teaching, and has worked with students of all ages and levels. Her specialties are: Silks, Hammock, Aerial Spansets, Lyra, Dance Trapeze, as well as creative choreography, transitions, and sequencing.
She's taught throughout San Diego county, and is currently affiliated with Aerial Revolution. Click here for the full class schedule.
Marena also offers private, semi-private and group lessons. Whether you're a beginner looking to try an aerial workout for the first time, or an experienced student looking to add new skills and transitions to your repetoire Marena will structure a session to meet your needs.

Choreographer
Marena loves aerial choreography, and has created both solo and group acts for aerialists on a variety of apparatus. Whether you're looking to create a full act for your next student showcase, gig, or special event, or just want help polishing your transitions, she is happy to work with you!
"Dancing in the Air" is for everyone, no matter what your age, and Marena loves sharing her passion for the art form with people of all levels.
